Tucked away in a serene countryside setting, the Old Stables at Derrydown Farm offered my family a much-needed respite during our trip. With its spacious living areas and two sizable bedrooms, we found the accommodations well-suited for our needs. My children particularly loved the vast bathroom with a separate bathtub and walk-in shower, turning bath time into a fun experience. Our days were filled with leisurely strolls along the nearby river, perfect for family bonding and discovering the local flora. The charming town, just minutes away, provided us with everything from quaint shops to cozy pubs for lunch. Khalid, our host, was efficient in his communication, ensuring we had all the necessary information for our stay. Though our primary goal was visiting Highclere Castle and Stonehenge-both conveniently located within 20 minutes-the peaceful ambiance of the Old Stables made us wish we had planned a longer visit. The Old Stables proved to be a family-friendly haven with delightful amenities, offering an enjoyable blend of comfort and adventure.
